Evil Dead remake

Post by Storm »

I know at least a few of us are Evil Dead fans... This looks like an amazing remake:

I wanted a B.C. cameo. The tone of the remake looks much different too. I have mixed feelings.

I agree, BC should make a short appearance, perhaps as someone that dies early in the film just for comedic value.  You're right about the tone - it seems like a serious horror flick now.  Evil Dead never took itself too seriously before.

Here you go:
In April 2011, Bruce Campbell did an AskMeAnything interview on Reddit.com, saying "Newsflash: We are remaking Evil Dead. The script is awesome. I will be one of the producers and possibly play the milk man".[10] He added "In all honesty, we would all love to make another Evil Dead movie. When that will happen? Who can say – we're all working on other jobs right now. We're not trying to dodge anybody's questions, there just isn't that much to talk about. The remake's gonna kick ass – you have my word".[11]

Maybe we will get a cameo!

Seriously, the first 2 remakes weren't enough?

It'll probably suck as the Total Recall remake sucked.

Bruce Campbell is what made the Evil Dead films great.

And it was really just Evil Dead II that was the standout.

Have you introduced your kids to the fine merits of Bruce Campbell yet?

My sons are 8 and 5, so I don't think they are quite ready.

If you ever want to spend a fun evening watching movies, I recommend watching Mad Max, Evil Dead II and then The Road Warrior.  I did that once unintentionally and it was great.  They all go together well.

The Road Warrior is one of my all-time favorites.
