Smithers,
Why did you choose the 14” Pro vs. the 16”?
…M
I had actually originally bought the 16". The screen was lovely but I didn't really like how it was bigger and more unwieldy.

My thought process went like this: regardless of whether I have a 16" laptop or 14" laptop, the screen is still going to be too small for me to be fully comfortable and productive. I'm going to need my multi-monitor setup anyway. So I might as well optimize for portability and just plug in to my external displays when i'm back at my desk.

For some the 16" is optimal for them of course, and that's totally fine.

O0 I never get tired of D&D references.

I finally have two monitors, but only because I have both a Mac and a Dell on my desk.

Dualstow, no comment on this? No need for war, be civil. Hello, hello, hello, there is no naval gazing allowed. 🤣

I puzzled over it. Is it a reference to the USS Merrimac?

Yes, and the Monitor, and the Civil War, and a naval battle.

Oh, I think we learned about the Monitor in grade school. Really low to the grou— to the surface.
Haven’t thought about it for decades. Very clever, M O0

I discovered cryptocurrencies years ago but I was not interested to invest in them. I have some friends which began to buy crypto recently and I will start buying Bitcoin soon
Do you have parents?

Bought a Kidde wifi smoke alarm that wouldn't shut off. Woke up entire building. After hours of research, I suggest
- Not Kidde, maybe 1st alert
- Photoelectric
- At least one (if wired interconnected alarms) capable of sending text message alerts
-10 year battery. replace 8 years after manufacture date

Have Govee water leak detectors but will look into this https://old.reddit.com/r/Plumbing/comme ... c_shutoff/

I was reading about the infamous killing of Georgi Markov ( yes, hi, Vil O0 ) which allegedly involved the use of an umbrella gun and a ricin “bullet.”

The bullet with the ricin was made of 90% platinum
and 10% iridium.

Have a swell day, everyone

Not to be too picky, but if the bullet were exactly 10% iridium and 90% platinum there was no possibility that it contained any ricin. Just saying from one who values precision in words. 🤣😉
