When it comes to the Supreme Court the Republican / conservative mantra is we want judges who just interpret the law and NOT make the law.

On the other hand, anyone else getting the impression that when it comes to counting the votes, these same Republicans / conservatives seemingly want the state election commissioners to mid-stream MAKE the law?

By the way I have both on MSNBC and C-Span. MSNBC cut away from Trump as soon as he started telling lies.

C-Span, of course, is non-judgemental and shows all with no commentary or interruptions.

What on earth is he talking about? You are witnessing a fragile desperate narcissist attempting to keep his ego from shattering into a billion pieces. He is a deeply ill individual.

Anyone else notice that whenever Trump is reading from a prepared statement is decidedly low energy, monotone speaking? Big contrast to his wild, entertaining style when speaking extemporaneously.

Trump's argument is akin to an NBA coach saying.....we had the lead for the first 47 minutes and 59 seconds of the game. We lost on a last second shot, the first time we lost the lead.

We should be awarded the win!

To my mind the accusations he's making should they be proven to be spurious should be liable for counter defamation suits. This man is making baseless accusations without any evidence.

Massachusetts is solid blue on the electoral map. All of its counties are blue. That generally seems to be the case for most smaller states, presumably because all of the smaller states' counties are within reasonable driving distance of at least one decent-sized city.

How does Trump deal with this regarding military absentee ballots?

Voting assistance for Service members, their families and overseas citizens in

According to his 2 AM Wednesday morning "speech" he would not count any military votes received after the time he was speaking.

He is again castigating mail-in ballots. Many military ballots ARE mail-in ballots.

But I'm too wise to expect ANY form of consistency from Trump!

Did you catch the projection in which he engaged?

He decried mail in voting because, of course, if ANYONE has the opportunity to cheat that person will.

Well, we know that IS him. However, I do not believe that describes any significant portion of the American population. He thinks everyone else has the same character flaws as he does!

My rough, in the head, analysis of Pennsylvania....

Now with 250,000 left and a 60,000 lead....

Biden needs 155 to Trump's 95.

Biden needing 62%.

Who?
Santorum, former Republican Pennsylvania senator who ran for president (2012?).

Yet another classic Republican hypocrite to the utmost. Cannot stand him. Disappointed that CNN uses him on a regular basis.

Every thread in the Politics sub-forum is about Trump, so “him” without context always means Trump. ;)

You might want to check with Smithers before you get too far. Canada is as nuts and corrupt as the US is. I can also send you hundreds of links to super sketchy Trudeau behavior.

I was questioning who 'him' was. Not Santorum. There was no quote for context.
Oh. I'd assumed you were following the entire discussion and knew that we were discussing how much MSNBC, CNN, C-Span showed of Trump.

Therefore, thought you were asking about Santorum.

Found on Facebook and for the reading pleasure (??) of many here...

Vinny

Sent from a friend. But worth the share.
To those of you who voted for Biden. You had better own it for the next four years if he wins (its looking like he may). I dont want to hear you complain about your taxes going up or gas prices doubling. I dont want you to complain when your health insurance cost go up even further than they already are. Dont complain when you bring home less on your paycheck because you're being penalized for climate justice. Dont complain when you lose your job because 15 million illegal immigrants suddenly become legal and your employer decides to hire someone at a lower wage. Dont complain when your job is just out right eliminated because the minimum wage is to high and your employer can no longer afford to stay open or even pay you. Dont complain when your automotive or industrial job is eliminated because its shipped back to China. Dont complain when interest rates double or even triple and homes/automobiles are not as affordable as they use to be. Dont complain when your stocks and 401k take a massive hit. Dont complain when we are locked into more endless wars in the middle east. Dont complain when your otherwise safe communities are overrun by crime and start resembling Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and Baltimore. Dont complain when the educational system goes down and higer education becomes unaffordable. You obviously didnt vote your paycheck or your future. You voted your feelings. Unfortunately facts dont care about your feelings and you will soon (sadly) learn this under a Biden/Harris administration. Just own it. Also when the new administration makes a play for all of our legally owned weapons dont look to me for support, safety, or compliance. I will be fighting to the death to deffend my GOD GIVEN 2nd Amendment rights...

I am continuing to read the book on the 1948 election.

Here are some pictures that say a lot about that election, which have some parallels to today.

First picture shows how wrong those in the political know were. Worse than this year's poll results?

Second picture shows the first time people were able to see on TV what we now see in great regularity.

Third picture shows that up to the night of the election the thoughts of all was that Truman would lose. An iconic photograph! It also seems that the date of that election was either the same as this one to the day or, at most, one day different.

Pollsters know they have an issue....especially getting accurate numbers from a lot of rural areas.

In other news:
Twitter permanently suspended an account belonging to former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon after he suggested Thursday morning that Dr. Anthony Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray should be beheaded. His comments were made in a video posted to his Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter accounts.

Bannon falsely claimed President Trump had won reelection, despite several key states still being too close to call, and said that he should fire both Fauci and Wray.
He then said he would go further: "I'd put the heads on pikes. Right. I'd put them at the two corners of the White House as a warning to federal bureaucrats. You either get with the program or you are gone."
The comments came during a livestream of Bannon's "War Room: Pandemic" online show.
The video was live on Bannon's Facebook page for about 10 hours Thursday and had been viewed almost 200,000 times before Facebook removed it, citing its violence and incitement policies.

Is there any doubt how profoundly insane these people are?
