Re: Moonshots

I took a nibble of LUNR yesterday (Intuitive Machines), a literal moonshot. It’s up this morning pre-market due to the successful landing but I don’t expect to make money on it in the long run, necessarily. Just want to be along for the ride.

That transparent roof is neat! I know a guy who doesn’t like to sit at outdoor cafes because he’s worried that birds will drop something in his cup or some kind of plant detritus will fall in there. This would work for him O0

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us

Probably just to stamp their logo into the toast. I think “coffee”, from Arabic, is one of those words that sounds pretty much the same — well, identifiable — around the world. “Taxi” — same. An English name for a bar, coffee shop or restaurant is still pretty faddish in far-flung regions. Not alway...

Re: Daily "Check In" Thread For Us

The coffee is much stronger on average than in North America and there’s lots of unique takes on flavour such as grapefruit lattes. I really like strong coffee. … I made my wife coffee for six months before I realized that the plastic “tablespoon” I was using was really 2 TBSP. (You’re supposed to ...

How did you arrive at that calculation?
It’s extremely complicated, Vinny. But, suffice it to say, as soon as I saw your question I went right to work.

At last, a legit website! Thank you, pmbug.

Interesting that Apmex wants to sell cotton gloves with them when they are encased in protective polyester. But, I guess that’s to keep one’s finger oils off the polyester.

First time I've ever knowingly seen his name?

To date, you have seen his name eleven times in your lifetime, not including here.

An obscure person to most Americans?
I’d never heard about him until I read his obit the other day.

Confused about Karat Pay, Karat Gold, etc

Looking at Smith's post , I got curious about the official site. I don't buy gold by the gram; 1oz coins are for for me. Still curious, though. Maybe if you could insert these cards into a reader that would authenticate them... I found lots of dealers, but no official site. There is one Karat or Kar...
