Keynes vs Hayek, Round 2

Post by Lone Wolf »

The follow-up to the excellent Keynes vs. Hayek rap has been posted.  It is, as you probably could have guessed, very well done.

Check it out here.

The original video can be found here for anyone that might have missed it.

Brilliant! And funny too. Metrics for success and failure are meaningless when defeat is the same as victory.  So, happy days are here again, even if unemployment is still high, entitlements are in jeopardy, and debt rules supreme. Time to double down, I guess.

-Belief is the death of intelligence. As soon as one believes a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence

I saw one of the comments suggesting the next round be between Keynes and von Mises.

Rather than boxing, I would like to see a wrestling match.

When von Mises was done with him, Keynes would be crying for his mommy.  To me, Hayek wasn't forceful enough in his presentation--von Mises was far more persuasive.

The wrestling match could be billed as: "The Golden Austrian vs. The Deluded Dandy"
Q: “Do you have funny shaped balloons?”

Lord Keynes does bear a striking resemblance to Freddie Mercury
