Pocket flashlights
I have a product recommendation: The ThorFire PF04. I'd been wanting to replace the large 2xAA flashlight that I carry around on a belt holster with something smaller that fits in a pocket. I did a ridiculous amount of product research due the staggering array of options, and narrowed it down to three, which I bought. The ThorFire was the winner. It throws out a ridiculous amount of light--more than my existing larger flashlight. It's amazing how fast this tech improves. It has three modes, including a very nice "moonlight" mode that you can use as like an endoscope or something. It looks fine in a pocket; not awkwardly "tactical" or anything like that. The button is really nice. It cost all of $16. I have no idea how well it'll hold up over time, but IMHO this combination of size, features, brightness, and cost is pretty unbeatable for an EDC flashlight. If the 2xAAA size is too long (short pockets?), they also make a 1xAAA size model that's basically the same thing but the high mode isn't as bright.
