Super Bowl Predictions

Like many, I would love to see Peyton Manning go out on top.

But unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen.

Prediction: Carolina 38, Denver 17.

the commercials will preform poorly compared to last year, with at least one memorable ball spiking controversy (probably racism or maybe sexist content) there will be at least one cute "aww" moment but it wont inspire devoted super bowl commercial fans the way it used to, and the memory of it will fade fast...

I don't care who wins as long as it is a good game. A good game is classified to me as:

1.) It is not a blow-out (i.e. people still tune in till the last couple of seconds of the 4th quarter)
2.) There are no spinal-cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, or knees being blown out

Also, I will probably be watching the Puppy bowl/Kitten bowl/superbowl commercials with my wife as well. It'll be a good day.

Depends on who runs the Bronco's offense.  Manning and Kubiak have been at each other's throats the entire season.

If Kubiak calls the plays - Carolina wins 31-9

If Manning calls the plays - Denver wins 20-13

I agree. Just seems like we are due for one and Denver has provided plenty in the past, including the one with Seattle where they muffed the opening snap and it went into the end zone.

It used to be that most of them were blowouts and boring to watch but they've been pretty good lately. Except for the Denver/Seattle game the last blowout I remember was Tampa Bay/Oakland which I didn't mind at all since I'm a Buccaneer far and that was our one and only moment of glory.

Update: This thought just occurred to me. Maybe it's already out there somewhere but a good idea for an article on the internet would be "Sports Superstars who went out in a blaze of glory". If Peyton Manning wins the super bowl he'll be close to the top of the list but I'm having a hard time thinking of any others. The closest is Michael Jordan  hitting a shot at the buzzer to win his sixth NBA championship but even he spoiled it with a comeback.

The closest is Michael Jordan  hitting a shot at the buzzer to win his sixth NBA championship but even he spoiled it with a comeback.

Well - my "Kubiak calls the plays" prediction was 31-9 the other way, and I think Kubiak actually called the plays (huddle after every down, run, run, run, and run some more).  Minus a couple of critical turnovers and I think it actually would have ended up more like, oh I don't know, 31-9 the other way.

Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised (I live in Denver).

Floyd Mayweather?  He retired undefeated last year, equaling Marciano's record of 49-0, and was the highest-paid athlete in the world for the last four years running.  Say what you will about the man and his boxing style (and his friendship with Justin Bieber), but that's an amazing achievement.

A pro-abortion group is attacking a Doritos Super Bowl ad for humanizing an unborn baby.
NARAL, however, didn’t stop there. The group also called out a Snickers ad for being “transphobic” and a Hyundai ad for showing a dad “take away his daughter’s autonomy.”

i called racialism or sexist and they went with "pro life and transphobic" i guess i am behind the times ...  its just not the good old days when all the controversial TV commercials were old fashion racism and sexist... 

I love it.

It's like the commercials aren't stupid enough.  These groups are trying to up the stupid ante with their responses.

the Beyonce half time show is also getting flack for being anti cop, using black panther gestures, having hands up don't shoot propaganda, and other anti police messaging... 

I missed all of that.

It just looked like a standard performance of vapid pop music to me.
