Istanbul Bombing

Post by barrett »

Has anyone else on here spent much time in Istanbul? The bombing there yesterday was in one of the world's great spots for travelers, not just for foreigners but for Turks as well. And I guess there's a heavy police presence there now (haven't been there since 2005). Obviously if you are willing to blow yourself up, that's almost impossible to defend against.

My daughter was headed to that exact blast point in May. Trip cancelled.

I've heard about that theater.  Neat place.

I saw a Stoney Curtis / Ann Margrock movie there once.
Wasn't Rock Hudson in that one?
