GTAA - expensive fees - (my reasoning for buying) throws a 200 dma buy/sell into different non-correlated asset classes-
IAU, IEI, MDY, SHY - Shorter duration treasuries, strength in midcaps
IAU, MDY, SHY, UDN - I think the dollar is toast (at least over the foreseeable future)
And of course, plain/simple, hard to argue with purist HB portfolio
comments appreciated

Re: My 3 variable portfolios
I dunno...
Harry Browne's attitude (at least as it came across to me in Fail Safe Investing) was basically, "if you must speculate, try not lose your shirt, and don't expect to be successful." I'm inclined to agree.
I'm not sure why you think any of these portfolios will outperform your PP. Maybe you can explain?
I think using UDN is interesting, but I'm not really sure how those four asset classes will interact.
Expand a little, so we know why you're choosing those particular ETF's.

Re: My 3 variable portfolios
As noted above, why do you think these alternate approaches would provide better sleep or better returns than the PP?
