Jack Bauer Is Back!

Post by Reub »

I happened to watch the new "24" series on Fox this week. Jack Bauer was as good as ever, doing whatever is necessary to save all of us. He didn't speak for the first half an hour or so of the show, however his expressions were more than enough to communicate with us. I, for one, am happy to have him back fighting evil wherever he finds it. And I love Chloe!

When I first saw Chloe, I thought - Wow, that woman is SCARY, SCARY, SCARY!  Must have been the black eye makeup  ::)  I thought Jack and Chloe had aged quite a bit ... must have had a rough time defending liberty and justice during their "out of the public eye" time.

I was surprised they didn't get to torture him. Every other season has had at least one scene where he gets tortured and left for dead before escaping. They only have 12 hours this time so maybe they didn't have time for it.

He did get shot once or twice...but they were only flesh wounds.

Jack could get shot in the head, and it would be a flesh wound.

Wow, 7 years of it wasn't enough?  That exhausted me (I watched them all at once).  What's the premise of this new series?

The premise, MG, is that Jack, an international outlaw, saves the world. What else would you expect?

This season he is trying to stop a plot where the terrorists use a technology developed by Wikileaks types to hijack U.S. drones and use them to fire on the streets of London, where our beloved President, namely William Devane (in real life is a gold bug), is negotiating a drone treaty with those ornery Brits. Only he, with his trusted sidekick Chloe, can prevent this from happening. God help him!

William Devane is the man!  He makes the perfect President.

I've got to wonder why Keifer is so addicting to acting though.  He's really looking drained from the stress.  Maybe he has issues.  Trying to top poppa?

You would look drained too if you had all of the good guys plus the bad guys after you all the time......and without a hypertonic refreshment drink no less.

Hypotonic!

I installed FOXNOW but dammit, only Day 9 is available.  It looks like they slowed the concept down and are doing 12 minute segments per episode instead of one hour now?
