Commission on Canada 01DEC45 2045 Bond

I am thinking of selling 1/2 or even 2/3 of my ZFL and buying individual bonds.

Today, Aug 22, 1013, and for the Dec2045 bond, http://www.pfin.ca/canadianfixedincome/Default.aspx shows a price of $105.94 CAD, yet RBCDI (my broker) shows 106.9475 CAD. That is quite a big spread, no?

If you have a Canadian PP, what is your experience buying individual bonds and what broker do you use?

During the summer I called Scotia to check the spread on CAN bonds.  I insisted on the phone that they tell the bid/ask prices.  The spread was some 0.15%.

I suggest you call your broker to check bid/ask prices.  I would be interested to know what you find if you do so.
