Emerging markets or gold miners junior
It seems both were hammered in the recent times. What would you put your VP money in VWO or GDXJ?
Re: Emerging markets or gold miners junior
I would go with GDXJ.
Over the past five years, the miners have done much worse than emerging markets.
Miners are down 60-70% over that time period. Emerging markets around 10%.
The S&P is at an all time high. If it tanks, I think it will be more likely to drag emerging markets down with it.
Just my hunch...curious to hear what others think.

I lost 60% in GFI. The talk is that the price of gold is below mining cost and mines will be shutting down until things change. That may be time to buy or time to avoid.
