This link was posted on the Lew Rockwell blog today and I thought there must be some significance to the date but I found nothing.

But I agree.

This man should be a poster child for heroism in the War in Vietnam but he won't. Maybe 100-200 years from now. Not yet. That's the world we live in.

He's got a dedicated Wikipedia page, which is a lot more than a lot of other heroes from the Vietnam war and other wars, so he's got more recognition for his achievements than many.
