Free Survival Fiction Novelette

Post by Coffee »

George Nolly inspired me to get off my duff and publish my contribution to a failed "Apocalypse" short story project that I had written for and then promptly resigned to the inner depths of my hard drive.

It went live last night and already generated one sale from somebody-- which is pretty neat, as I haven't yet shared the link with anybody until now:

The Man Who Never Cried

Frank Pennington is a decorated World War II veteran in his late 90's who stopped aging when he was in his 50's. When a solar flare permanently knocks the power grid offline, Frank must escape the retirement home he lived in with his late wife and make his way on foot to rescue his ill-prepared son and family before all of civilization begins to fall apart. 36 pages.

If anyone here would like a free review copy, just PM me your e-mail address. The only catch is that the review copy is in PDF version.  I think there is a way to put PDFs on your kindle, I just don't know how.  Otherwise you can read the pdf on your computer.
"Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is. "
