Has anyone seen the television show "Death Note?"
It's an Anime cartoon that aired for 37 episodes in Japan a few years back.
I'm not someone who regularly watches Anime, but this is a pretty cool piece of science fiction. Just curious if anyone else is familiar with it.
You can apparently stream it for free on Hulu right now.

Re: Death Note
It is fantastic.
One of the better expressions of a detective/mystery story I've seen.

I have not, but thanks for the recommendation! I'll favorite that one. Always excited to find out about great new stuff on Hulu.

It's subtitles on Hulu. If that bothers you, you might consider downloading from iTunes.Lone Wolf wrote: I have not, but thanks for the recommendation! I'll favorite that one. Always excited to find out about great new stuff on Hulu.

Re: Death Note
I haven't heard of Death Note, but my brother is always raving about Afro Samurai--I haven't seen too many episodes. It combines the beauty of anime with the voice of Samuel L Jackson...it's difficult to screw that up.
Re: Death Note
The cool thing about Death Note is that the plot is very compelling. There are also some very well developed underlying themes, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" being my favorite.Gosso wrote: I haven't heard of Death Note, but my brother is always raving about Afro Samurai--I haven't seen too many episodes. Re: Death Note
Watched the first one last night and the idea behind it is very interesting. Can't wait to see where this one goes...

Let me know what you think. I've got about 10 episodes left and have really enjoyed it so far.Storm wrote: Watched the first one last night and the idea behind it is very interesting. Can't wait to see where this one goes...
