I'll look into this. FYI Discover IT card is 5% back next three months using digital wallets, which can be used at Costco. DM if you want a referral link for the card and $100 bonus. Google pay has to be used in-store.

When I search for "Gold Bar" after logging into the Costco website, the only product I see is "Autumn's Gold Granola Bar, Cinnamon Almond, 1.24 oz, 16-count" for $23.99. They look yummy!

I typed in the item number 1748080 and got nothing. Meanwhile, if you type in item numbers for other things you see (you can find them near the bottom of an item page), these non-gold items come right up.

They were not available at any Costco near me. I was going to buy two. In general it would be amazing if costco sold gold bars. I would probably accumulate many more bars.

That’s an interesting comment about Sales tax in the article. Having to get a refund on the sales tax after the purchase could be a hassle.

In the company’s earnings call on Thursday, CFO Richard Galanti said that Costco sold $100 million in one-ounce gold bars between July and September.

According to media reports, during the call Galanti was asked what consumer trends Costco was seeing this holiday season; he answered: "They're buying gold."

In 2020, Costco started selling gold to its U.K. members and added it to North American stores earlier this year. Members are limited to two bars from the same supplier each and according to Galanti, the gold sells out in hours.
