"Solo FidFolios places market orders {Ochotona - not limit orders which can be bad at times}.
Also, when you rebalance they sell whatever needs sold first and they wait two business days for the cash to resettle before purchasing anything.
I also found out on Friday that if one of the securities in your basket has a dividend your entire basket is locked until it settles. Check my post history for details on my nightmare of an experience if you want more details."

Fidelity's software is very glitchy, and their settlement time is unconscionable....I've seen things take a week or more to settle though I never figured out why. My rule with Fidelity is to keep things simple and avoid relying on fancy software features, because they are bound to fail. I ended up with a missed credit card payment because of one of their software glitches for example.
Rebalance events for the PP don't happen more than every 2-3 years, so it's not like it's a lot of work.
