LTT Performance

Post by buddtholomew »

I am not sure whether there is any merit to this theory, but was the decline in TT's today attributed to the ECB's decision to begin buying their own bonds? LTT yields in the US are substantially lower (less profit potential) than equivalent fixed income investments abroad (yields higher).

Nevermind, saw that S&P downgraded US debt.

Look for the government to begin harrassing the ratings agencies in various ways (SEC investigations, IRS audits, etc.).

You don't do something as provocative as downgrading sovereign debt without triggering some kind of retaliation.
