Fundraiser in Chief

Post by clacy »

President Obama has done 393 fundraising events throughout his two terms.  That's almost twice the pace of Bush at this point in his Presidency.

I find that more than a little annoying (Bush too).  Basically the American people elect a Fundraiser in Chief.  Then we foot the bill for him to fly all over the US and raise money for his party.

I think there needs to be legislation limiting that to maybe one fundraiser per month or something.  Once every five days seems pretty absurd, especially when you factor in the travel time and cost to the tax payer to secure locations, and fly Airforce 1, etc.

If you think he's been outrageously bad up until now just wait until the next Congressional election is over in November and he no longer cares about public opinion. Then you will see what really bad means.

I vote for NO fundraisers ever by a sitting president. The practice is just disgusting. Or is POTUS only a part-time job?

Perhaps Obama is half as effective a fund raiser as President Bush...
