His wife wasn't beat up looking when she was younger. She just recognized political charisma talent when she saw one and saw a pathway to implement the women lib's-progressive agenda. You know those types, idealist feminists without the wonk credentials? So she made a deal with the Devil. Both had (and still may) have very little clue about economics and foreign policy which is why they fumbled constantly in the White House. Remember Pres. Clinton's classic exclaimation about those "fvucking bond traders" for his first budget?
