Dragnet Nation

Has anyone read this book yet?

Dragnet Nation: A Quest for Privacy, Security, and Freedom in a World of Relentless Surveillance
by Julia Angwin

Just a hunch, but my guess is many folks who pay attention to this forum would find it interesting.  I haven't read it yet, but will in the next few weeks.

Had just marked that on my to read list.

A recent issue of "The Week" magazine talked about the author and the book.  Sounds like it is worth reading for the privacy tips.

I have not read this book although it does look interesting. I can suggest one that I have read that is chock full of good information...

How to Be Invisible: Protect Your Home, Your Children, Your Assets, and Your Life

It is written in a manner which makes a pretty compelling case why this is advantageous for even normal people, then gives you varying degrees of privacy and what must be done to obtain them. In order to truly drop off the grid you must be prepared to spend a minimum of $15k and move at least once.
