Permanent Portfolio Allocator

Post by Gumby »

For those of you with Mac computers or iPads, I've created a Permanent Portfolio Allocator spreadsheet for Numbers. Just type your account values for each asset into the top section and the bottom Rebalancing section will tell you when it's time to rebalance with automatic color-higlighting rebalancing bands.

You can download the Numbers (for MAC OS X only) file here:

* Numbers '09 or higher is required to use this spreadsheet

Looks nice! I need to get Numbers for my Mac. Can Numbers export to Excel format?

It can export to Excel, but it can't make the Excel spreadsheet do things that only Numbers can visually do. I had tried exporting this file, but unfortunately I used too many Numbers-specific parameters and design elements. It was completely unintelligible when I opened it up in Excel because it wasn't formatted like a typical spreadsheet.

I think its ok but I've only quickly tested it so make sure you're happy that it works ok before using it for real.
Thanks Clive.  Looks good.

Thank you very much!  It's useful and attractive.  I can quickly see how much money market cash to move to bonds and stock indices.
