I'm ready for some rebalance therapy. If it would go down a bit more, I will buy in.
The nagging question is, how will I feel if I'm buying in yet again when & if it goes well under 1000? $:-\$

I guess some people actually thought that the government was going to stop spending a trillion dollars more than they brought in by taxes. Otherwise it's pretty hard to explain the move today.

My sincerest apologies. A member of this forum is invested entirely in GDX and GLD, but I don't recall their username.

I'll say it's a good day! According to Yahoo Finance, my holdings in VOO are up 100.46% on the day. Should I be happy that my stock fund is beating its index, or unhappy that it's not tracking terribly well? :-P

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but VOO had a share split today, so the share price doubled, but the number of shares you own dropped by 50%.

Did anyone else grab any gold today? Seemed like a good day so I pulled the trigger on some coins. Hopefully they get here instead of being lost/stolen like all of my other coins that I don't have.

For the past few days, my google calendar has shouted at me, "Buy gold?" I keep dragging the same event one day forward.
