I don't know of any democrats I really like. I kinda wish John Huntsman would run as independent and cream both Hillary and whatever goofball the republicans put up.

She will also have the Media behind her (or was that included in party machinery). As I understand it, they already have created three flattering documentaries about her life that are ready, or getting ready, to be shown.TennPaGa wrote: Certainly she has party machinery behind her, and she might have Obama behind her.
Contrast this with the hit job already done on Sarah Palin on HBO. I had HBO for free when I switched cable companies a while ago so I watched the documentary about her and it was awful. They couldn't even pick an actress that looked as good. I expect that will be playing again come election time if she's anywhere near the ticket.

Re: Democrats that could challenge Hillary
This is the Democrats' biggest weakness going into 2016: Hillary is really their only practical option. They don't have a good fall-back plan if her health deteriorates or she really implodes during the primary cycle. Other than her, most Democrats on the national stage are too far to the left, too old, too inexperienced, and/or too unknown.

Are you saying you would otherwise support Palin as a pres or vp candidate?notsheigetz wrote:She will also have the Media behind her (or was that included in party machinery). Re: Democrats that could challenge Hillary
I don't think that there will be any serious Hillary challengers in the primaries.
There is just a real shortage of serious and viable candidates in either party.
There are probably a lot of good people out there who are simply doing other things because politics is so dishonest, corrupt and exhausting. That's part of the problem.

I nominate Christie. He's a better Democrat than he is a Republican.
Re: Democrats that could challenge Hillary
There will have to be challengers because I'm sure the party recognizes that it's too risky to put all of their eggs in one basket. I'd imagine Richardson will run.

Re: Democrats that could challenge Hillary
Hillary is not the unstoppable force that many think she is, IMO. However, the Republicans do not have very many charismatic candidates that can articulate conservative principles. I feel like you have to be rather charismatic when you're a Republican candidate to counter all of the smears that you are a racist, sexist, bigot who hates gays and poor people. That is pretty much how the MSM paints anyone that is pro-life, pro-traditional marriage and against blanket amnesty.
Re: Democrats that could challenge Hillary
Hillary can be shrill and not infrequently does not come across well (see recent book tour). That can't help.
It was good being the party of Robin Hood. Until they morphed into the Sheriff of Nottingham
