Snow tires

Post by colorado4 »

Any tire experts out there? I would like to fit my 09 Audi with a dedicated snow tire this season.  I'm considering Bridgestone Blizzaks, Michelin X-ice or Nokians.  Any advice on these brands would be greatly appreciated.

Are you putting a lift kit on it as well?

You might look into cooper tires weather master.

I don't have the weather masters but I just got some of their all terrain tires and like them.

I run Nokian all weathers and agree that they are great tires. I use the winter traction rated and they grip really well on rain and snow. Their snow tires I'm sure would be excellent. The Finns know snow.

Thanks for all of the feedback.  I'm going with the Nokian - R's and just located a dealer nearby.

Medium Tex - no liftkit yet, but we'll take the wife's subaru when the heavy snow comes!

My post is what happens when a guy from Texas just wants to be part of a snow tire discussion.
