When I view this forum at work on our old win XP computers, I get the recurring error message:
"a script in this movie is causing adobe flash player to run slowly...."
Since the forum doesn't have any movies, what is triggering this error message and is there any way to avoid it?
Thanks.

I don't know.
Have you tried running it on another browser?
I've viewed it on XP machines and haven't had any problems.
There are a ton of tech people here. I just don't happen to be one of them.

I would if I could, but I work for the gov't, and they don't allow you to install any of your own software.

Oh, that's rich. So you're saying you're using my tax dollars to post to this forum?

if a script running on the forum is the cause getting addblock plus might stop an advertising or tracking script from triggering it
what browser are you using? does it have add on's? or extensions? if so you can try running with them disabled and see if it fixes it... if it does then try to figure out which one.. (i would look at most recently added first. ) updating the adobe flash and the browser might also be a worth trying if add ons or extensions aren't the problem.

If the PCs are locked down really tight you might be limited to reboot, clear browser's cookies, clear browser's cache as your only available options.
