Breaking Bad Larry David Style.

30 second clip that you won't think is funny unless you've seen a few episodes of Curb.

Isn't it almost time for the finale?

We have to wait a few more months. Final eight episodes kick off on August 11.

Hey, did you guys catch the teaser trailer for the second half of season 5?  It features Bryan Cranston reading forum poetry favorite Ozymandias.  (I'm not aware of any plans to release a version of Cranston reading the MediumTex classic TIPSymandias...)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3dpghfRBHE

It's quite well done, and the choice is interesting because we've made the Walter White / Ozymandias connection on this very forum:

Can't wait for the final episodes!  :D

Cool.  Can't wait to see how it all turns out.

I would love to hear him recite the "MediumTexysburg Address".

Just downloaded and watched. Neat!

I hate that I'm going to be traveling when the next episodes air. It's so hard to get online without seeing spoilers in the news, not to mention spoilers from tv and friends. Best to watch these immediately.

I recently began watching all of the Breaking Bad reruns on AMC and will be caught up shortly. The show is riveting! I became so enamored with it that I tried to set up a pseudonym on these forums, namely, WWhite. However craigr nipped it in the bud immediately. :)

I love the show.  There was a period when I was getting caught up a couple of years ago where I was watching several episodes a day.  That was awesome.

I hate that they feel the need to end the show with just a few more episodes.  They could easily do another 20 episodes and stay within the parameters of Walt needing to die at the end.

He is so convincing with those eyes. In real life, a nice Jewish boy from Philly. Who'd'a thunk it?

Lately, I've only seen the 'Hank' actor in a mediocre Stephen King adaptation for tv, and in an X-Files rerun.

He was in Starship Troopers.

Indeed.  I'm having a hard time waiting until Monday when Amazon will let me see episode #2.

The closing scene of episode 1 in Hank's garage was great.  Things have escalated more quickly than I was expecting!

How long until Walt offs Hank?

I'm gonna bet on episode 4.

Hank is a survivor.

I know that Walt is enjoying having Hank fear him a little, though, especially after all of the macho condescension Hank has thrown at Walt over the years.

Yeah, but so were Mike and Gustavo Fring.  Walt is bad news.

It was kind of nice to watch Walt threaten Hank a bit in that last scene in the garage.

In some ways, Walt is like a person who has already died, and thus all of the rules that apply to regular people when it comes to good, bad, right, wrong and that sort of thing simply don't apply to Walt.

If someone who is already dead is threatening you and you begin to realize that they have no moral compass of any kind, it's got to be kind of spooky, no matter how much of a badass you are.

That's what the look on Hank's face said.  It was like he realized that he wasn't looking into the face of pure evil so much as he was looking down into a grave that had already been dug for the next person who decided to challenge Walt, and it really didn't matter much who wound up in that grave.

(Fear not. There are no spoilers in this post)

Although Jesse is one of the least interesting characters to me, it was interesting watching his face during his conversation with Walt about Mike in the first of these new episodes. It was like he was talking to a Biblical snake in human form, or the devil himself. He just had this look of complete resignation and capitulation, no fight left in him at all.

I enjoyed listening to Bob Odenkirk (Saul) talk about the show on NPR a few weeks ago. Funny stuff.

I think that Jesse is feeling like a grave has been dug for him as well and he really doesn't care that much because the things he has done and participated in have just hollowed him out.  He has that look like death will be a relief from great suffering.

Reading through this thread is at least as much fun as watching older episodes.
There are some accurate predictions in here.

Has anyone been watching Low Winter Sun (the show that comes on after Breaking Bad)?

I'm just curious to know if it's any good.

I see that Gale is in it.

For those of you who have caught the most recent episodes:

What is Hank's brilliant plan? We know that Walt gets outed somehow because he's on the run in flash forwards, and because his neighbor Carol recoils in horror when she sees him. His clever attempt to frame Hank, then, is not going to cut it. How did Hank win?
Or was Walt outed by someone else, some other means? I guess the last few seconds of last night's show are what I should be thinking on.

Haven't seen it. We don't have cable and have used Netflix & iTunes to get Breaking Bad into the house.

I liked the scene where Hank and his wife Marie are watching Walt's "confession" in disbelief.

I also enjoyed Jesse deciding to go to Alaska via Saul's "Hoover Vacuum Service" and then changing his mind at the last second.

It was amusing seeing the way Walt excised the frozen gun from the vending machine while attempting to hide his haste from his wife.

And it was certainly enjoyable to see "Better Call Saul's" security being a little bit slow to his beating.

And of course he had good reason to change his mind.
