Measuring the "real inflation rate," in spite of it being mathematical,  seems too much like measuring the "real gross happiness."

If you remember the discussion was about the personal subjective inflation rate as opposed to the CPI

Interesting, estimating roughly according to the poll the average perceived inflation rate is 4%.
