Re: Your current guilty tv pleasure?

I've been enjoying watching the coverage of the Jodi Arias trial in Arizona.

Jodi Arias is the one who drove 1200 miles to her ex-boyfriend's house, had sex with him, then shot him twice in the head, stabbed him 27 times and slashed his throat from ear to ear, and is arguing at trial that she killed him in self-defense.

I wonder if maybe he was a zombie.  It sometimes takes that level of force to neutralize a zombie.

Some of them were meth-heads and under threat of being killed by drug dealers. The disappointing part for me is that they gave one particularly boring meth-head way too much screen time, perhaps half of the entire film.
Just some docs on Rumspringa.  Nothing shocking happened or maybe they edited it all out?  Sure, theres always a bad apple in every barrel, but the barrel seemed to be intact.

You have the best one liners :-)
It was good being the party of Robin Hood. Until they morphed into the Sheriff of Nottingham

I'm glad to see that there is someone else on this esteemed board watching something crazier on TV than the crap I watch.  ;)

I didn't follow Jodi Arias, but I'm partial to the astronaut who wore a space diaper so she could drive across the country to try and kill her lover's new woman without rest area stops. Now that's determination.

Astronauts as a group are very competitive.

Louie on FX is really good.

You can stream it on Netflix.  I've seen about 5 of the episodes and really like it so far.

If that's Louis CK than it's way too good to be a guilty pleasure. I love that guy.
Or is it a different Louie?

Lately, I've been leaning towards getting started on The Wire as a good followup to Breaking Bad.  Even though I did not care for the discussion about it in the Freakonomics blog a few years ago.  But I've continued to hear nothing but praise for it from other sources.

It's Louis CK, and you're right.

I found The Wire to be excellent, every bit as good as the hype. It took me a few episodes to get into it though.

The Wire was definitely good.  I got into a big cop-show thing, and watched The Wire, then all the seasons of The Shield, which was also good.

Right now I'm watching True Blood again, it's been a couple years since I watched it, so it's kinda new again!
You there, Ephialtes. May you live forever.

Kitchen Nightmares, May 10 Edition (Amy's Baking Company, etc.) and subsequent Facebook/Yelp/Reddit  meltdowns.  Batshit crazy is too mild a description for this couple. Gordon Ramsey had to flee, and apparently they called in the FBI to investigate a real or post-imagined hacking of their Facebook account--but not before owners who stole tips, fired a Waitress, and even tried to beat up a couple of  long-suffering customers in the first five minutes of the show:

Interview With the Waitress (actually, a runner), fired on TV for asking an innocent question:

Read the craziest Facebook posts from Amy and Samy (the owners) here:

Or

Then come back here and tell me why I should not laugh at all this craziness on TV (and online).

BTW, supposedly this was the epic show that saved Kitchen Nightmares from being cancelled next season.
