What's up with EDV today?
Why would EDV be so drastically down - almost 5% - while TLT is not only not down at all but slightly up? What's going on with EDV? Anyone know?

Looks like it paid a dividend today.

So...are you saying that what might be going on is that the people who held it for the dividend or who were waiting for the dividend before they were going to sell are now selling it?Pointedstick wrote: Looks like it paid a dividend today.
Or maybe, in their eyes, the dividend was not enough or was too much? Or something?

I don't think it means anybody is selling; it just means that some of the value of EDV yesterday was the dividend coming up today.

Ah! Okay, thank you...MangoMan wrote:No. All else being equal, the share price will should drop by exactly the amount of the dividend.MomTo2Boys wrote:So...are you saying that what might be going on is that the people who held it for the dividend or who were waiting for the dividend before they were going to sell are now selling it?Pointedstick wrote: Looks like it paid a dividend today.

I know Vanguard can be late, but I still haven't gotten any kind of payment from EDV since September.
Anybody else?

FWIW, I got my EDV dividend and gain distributions on the 28th.
