Who here likes Anime?

Although it's purely lighthearted entertainment, I kinda like the ones with an undercurrent of a deeper meaning, namely Evangelion and the Melancholoy of Haruhi Suzumiya..

I haven't seen either of those, but I'll be sure to check them out.

A while back, AdamA mentioned Death Note, which I subsequently watched and thought was great. A friend of mine also recommended Samurai Champloo, and I really enjoyed that one as well. It's definitely more lighthearted than Death Note, but the character development still sucks you in.

+1 Death Note... I thoroughly enjoyed that one.  I still thought the ending sucked though (not wanting to spoil it for folks)...
