hiccup cure

Post by doodle »

A friend of mine passed along a miraculous hiccup cure a while ago and after a few months of testing I can confirm that it does in fact work instantly to stop hiccups.

When hiccuping all you have to do to stop is turn your hands palms facing up, grasp the edge of a table between your thumb and index and middle fingers, and then squeeze. The hiccups will stop in a few seconds.

Definitely beats trying to drink water from the opposite side of a glass...

Nope, didn't work.  :(

FYI what did work for me was exhaling and holding my breath as long as possible. Boom, instantly gone!

Put a half teaspoon of baking soda in 8 ounces of water and drink. If you hold your breath and drink it down in 20 swallows, that's two cures at the same time.  8)

Funny...it has worked more than a dozen times for me and other members of my family. Thumb on top of table, fingers underneath (like a crab claw) then squeeze for about 10 or 15 seconds.
