Thanks for the link. For those that have not listened yet, they are using the periodic table to explain how and why we have precious metals, and then why gold became favored as currency. Very entertaining for a former chemist, but easily understood by a layman. I am thinking about an osmium position for the variable portfolio  .

Great podcast!  Brief and very entertaining but once you accept the premise that the only candidates are elements, they make quite a convincing case.  (Especially when you consider which elements grabbed the runner-up spots!)
