I don't know how I neglected this one, but it's Sylvester Stallone singing country music in "Rhinestone" (1:48).

This one is considered by many to be one of the worst scenes in movie history, and that's really saying something.  It's shocking.

It troubles me that a lot of time, money and talented people were devoted to that project and that's what they came up with.

Maybe it was some kind of film version of the storyline from "The Producers."

Instead of "Springtime For Hitler" it would be "Country and Western Music for Stallone".

Rhinestone is remembered as a huge box office disaster that in reality is pretty bipolar. There are some genuine laughs in this movie coupled with some of the worst moments ever committed to film. This scene is one of the latter.

Also, the song is better when Dolly Parton sings it.

That is awesome.  I have to say that however much I love Bugs Bunny, Harry Browne did a better job of convincing me that I needed bonds in my portfolio.

I posted this video in the other thread as well, but I love this one of a retired carpenter moving massive objects (such as huge stone blocks and... a barn) using techniques available to the ancients.  For the finale, he personally raises a 19,000 pound block completely by himself.  Ingenious.

Below is a 10 minute clip from one of the Presidential debates between Gerald Ford and Jimmy Carter in 1976.

The thing about this clip that is interesting is actually what you can't see.  What's happening in this clip is each candidate has been armed with a new weapon called "The Charismannihilator", which shoots a beam that neutralizes every spark or shred of charisma in the person the weapon is being aimed at. 

What's happening is that right before each candidate begins speaking, the other candidate bathes him in rays from The Charismannihilator, and quickly puts the weapon away before the camera moves back to him, at which point the other candidate begins returning fire.

When the journalists are speaking both candidates are firing their weapons simultaneously at the panel. 

You can just barely make out this dynamic as you watch, but once you begin to see it it's impossible to miss.  Notice how when one of the candidates appears to wake up a little or have some trace of emotion, a deadness suddenly washes across his face--that's a textbook Charismannihilator side-effect.  What a devastating weapon.
