Market cap weighting is such baloney.  An identical situation occured with financial earnings before the blowup.

I really have to hand it to Apple's marketing department.  There was a week or so before Jobs passed when Apple was the largest company by market cap.  They're bigger than GE, AT&T, Chevron, etc.  They are extremely litigious and have draconian EULA terms.  Yet somehow they're perceived as the think-different, counterculture, anti-corporate, underdog.  What can I say; hand it to marketing!

Well, I think Foxconn is the actual factory. Apple just makes the recipe.
