We actually discussed this here once several years ago and what it said about us as people.

^ Agreed. Although I still consider myself a bad person despite being vegan and taking the carts back. Narcissists dont have the headspace to model what other people are thinking. They're buried under their own issues. The problem is they figured out how effective arrogance and bullying is. Have a relative who has to have everything her way. Grew up thinking she was smart and right about everything, turns out she couldnt allow the door to open to negotiation or shed lose control of the person. Compromising with people is hard. Maybe its one of Elons talents as a manager.

Too cringe for me but fyi https://www.youtube.com/@CartNarcs/videos

Some people just can't handle not being in control it’s like they see compromise as weakness or something. Totally agree that arrogance and bullying can unfortunately get them what they want, but it’s so toxic long-term.

In certain areas I want to be in control because I think I'm the best person to be in control for the benefit of the larger group. But if I have confidence in the abilities of others in whatever the situation it is - business, personal - I'm quite content to just sit back and let that person do the leadership work while I benefit from it.
