Given the drastic decrease in bond value from rising interest rates, how did an I bond perform? I’m assuming their liquidation value has held up much better?
Are you guys using these as STT or LTT replacements?
So how did I Bonds perform relative to Bonds?

Re: So how did I Bonds perform relative to Bonds?
Definitely Cash
And, quite happy with them -- didn't lose value; returns spiked during high inflation, don't pay taxes until redeem, no state taxes -- good stuff!
I don't have that much in I-Bonds, so, selling low fixed rate bonds and buying at the current 1.3% fixed rate
(yeah, the current composite rate, 4.28%, is a little lower than some other cash options, but, IMO, good insurance if inflation picks up again, and, taxes deferred)
