I missed rebalancing last time on the wake of pandemics. Missed by 2-3% because I was sticking to 15/35% :-)

This suggestion looks like it was well timed.murphy_p_t wrote: ↑Thu Feb 17, 2022 3:02 pmNow that gold has broken out, it's time to take money out of the safe harbor of the pp and put it to work.

Damned if I know.
I only know how to split threads (barely) and delete spam. Xan?

Re: The GOLD scream room
Same here. I thought I'd asked the same question long ago here. Though it could have been the same problem in a different topic.

Re: The GOLD scream room
I think it's a side-effect of deleting vincent_c's posts en masse from the database. Somehow the software now has the wrong idea of how many posts there are, or something. I'll see if I can straighten it out.

I'm all for a new policy that says posts will not be deleted en masse if someone chooses to leave. Just sayin'.

Seems reasonable to me and I'd support that policy. I cannot delete anything I put on Twitter.

Pretty sure that is not true.
Yes. You are 100% correct. I got it confused with not being able to EDIT anything I put on Twitter. Though I'd certainly concede that deleting a tweet may qualify as being a MASSIVE edit!

Re: The GOLD scream room
Thanks Xan! Also, I find it strange that someone can just say "Delete my posts". I feel like it's saying "Garcon clean up my mess, and give me more coffee!" Personally, I feel like when I post something, its posted. Everything else, like delete request are discretionary and best effort, no guarantees. Or maybe it can just be stated that once you post, the post can be taken down at a forum admin's discretion but there is no obligation to do so.
Anyway thanks again, I learn a tremendous amount from this forum.

Gold back below 2000 per oz. Driving myself nuts over whether I should buy.

Re: The GOLD scream room
I think there is not much commodity use for it though. So its main use is monetary and jewelry. Not sure what percentage per year is used in electronics and other industrial uses. But based on my limited understanding, it is negligible.
