Interesting piece about an unprecedented period of prosperity in the midst of a pandemic and so much political strife.....

I want to tell you two of the biggest economic stories that aren’t getting enough attention.

One is that household finances might be in the best shape they’ve ever been in. Ever. That might sound crazy, and it’s easy to overlook because of the second story: Covid has dumped kerosene on wealth inequality in ways we’ve yet to fully grasp.

The stock market seems to be betting that we will.

Anecdotal Evidence Update: Just returned from the mall and saw people lined up outside two stores due to Covid capacity restrictions. They were Luis Vitton and Gucci. Methinks a lot of people got their stimulus money this weekend.
