Worst movies you ever saw

Post by Ad Orientem »

A companion thread to the favorite films discussion...

My top three worst movies that I actually sat through til the end (in two cases because someone else paid for the ticket) are...

3. House (1986) with the incredibly appropriate theme song "Your no good."
2. Police Academy 3 (1986) The people I went to the movie with actually loved it. I think that was the last film I saw before I joined the Navy.
1. Jaws 4 The Revenge (1987) Here at least my opinion was vindicated by the box office returns and movie reviews.

Dragonball Evolution.

Do not watch it. Ever.

The only thing this movie is good for is psychological torture on your enemies.

Drumline definitely springs to mind. It's is the only movie I've ever walked out of in the theater. Just awful.

Controversial pick: I thought The Hurt Locker was terrible.
You there, Ephialtes. May you live forever.

^ at least that made you think a bit

First thing that pops to mind for me is a Michael Moore film. Frustrating that he will not discuss the other side of any issue

Anything on the Lifetime Movie channel.

It can be entertaining one time but after that you realize you are watching the same movie over and over.

Start with either a psycho husband or a psycho bitch who is having an affair with the husband or is just extremely jealous of what the wife has. It takes a long time to figure out who the psycho really is but it all gets wrapped up in the last minute or two when the psycho is finally revealed and either gets killed or arrested. Usually there is a short epitaph showing everybody but the psycho living happily ever after.

(Oh, and you also need a cop who doesn't believe the wife's claims about who is the psycho and he's the one who finally realizes it and shows up at the last minute to do either the killing or arresting. In the case of killing, the psycho usually gets shot and falls into a pool but sometimes they recover).

Forgot about Ford Fairlane (1990)

I think that’s the only one my wife and I walked out of.

Dune.

The books are outstanding of course, but the movie was horrible in almost every respect. The voice-over narratives instead of actually showing the story, changes to the plot line that came off as silly, and some of the most god-awful acting ever. There was a British TV show version that was infinitely better.
