For those who don't know, there is a vote this Nov to change the IL constitution from a flat to graduated income tax. Supposedly only targeted to those making more than 250k. But no wording to that effect.
And today, they brought out the big artillery....if you don't vote for it, IL will likely have to raise EVERYONE'S tax by 20%.
I will not be retiring here.

I wonder whether it was confusion intentionally: the FAIRtax proposal has been around a long time, and advocates replacing the federal income tax with a consumption tax. Now they're using "Fair Tax" to mean a graduated income tax?
