And yes, that’s a simple cardboard box as she has eschewed her actual cat bed.

Cat brought fleas. Seems like the eggs drop off where the cat sleeps/eats then a cluster of 50 erupts and attacks you. Hate to keep her outside, but not sure if the Advantage II is going to be strong enough, if she gets close to the strays outside

The last time I had fleas in my house was when I brought in a stray for a half hour. Gave fleas to all my cats who do not go outside.

Immediately killed them all by using both Advantage and having the vet give them all injections. The injections cause all the fleas who bite them to become sterile and incapable of laying eggs.

That was the only time I've had fleas since 1996.

Seems a little harsh

oh, the fleas. You only killed the fleas. Oh, that sounds better.

Fantastic. When my cat is playing, I often remark that she looks like a baby t-rex.

Just one of the many great things about dogs is they generally won't try to take a shit in your food.

What is the cat / kitten situation in your areas?

I have read that there are zero kittens available in the pet shelters near me.

I just checked. Where I got my two kittens and adult cat...they now have only one dog and five cats. The week I got my three I was there at least three, if not four times that week. Each time there were tons of cats to choose from. I paid barely over $100 for the 2 year old adult. These are all going for $300 each. Must be the supply and demand at work.

I spotted my local feral just today, but I've also seen a few more in the past couple days. My dream of a desperate, lockdown-induced, starvation leading to a purge has yet to become reality, but I remain hopeful.

To you...an avowed capitalist...I can offer a financial incentive.

If you can somehow domesticate that feral you can then later sell it on Craigslist for $200 to $300. That is how few cats are now available for acquisition. You'd not actually be selling it: You'd be "rehoming" it.
