I think life is cheap in many non-Western societies. I'm referring to the part about the clinic workers ignoring the person who passed out. I can see that happening in a lot of places. The 3rd world is full of that, and bigotry and everything else our wokesters think the USA is bad about. I have stories, but they are too dated to be relevant, and not that extraordinary anyway.

That was a good read. I had the same experience in Indonesia and Iraq.

Surely Senegalese culture is like that only because of systematic oppression by white Westerners... right?
