I think state governors basically have figured that out. Do what they think is best, and DJT can suck on the 10th Amendment. The problem is when DJT goes directly to his base on TWTR and people start showing up with ARs and body armor and Confederate flags at state capitols. It's extremely unnerving to many people. For example, our Gov. Abbott is doing what he can to re-open Texas in a careful manner, but still these Alex Jones-led morons show up demanding what? Go faster into an unsafe configuration?
Public display of AR-15 and body armor + Confederate flag + "fire Fauci" + themselves not social distancing + mispellings on their signs = dangerous morons to be ignored
I think it will all hurt DJT and all Republicans in November. His re-election is not assured. He's being his usual self, leading from behind, fomenting chaos, and his own "ratings" are most important. God, he is exhausting in the same way a toddler is exhausting. But he's not cute like a toddler.
{FYI - I have walked into the Texas State Capitol with a loaded, concealed handgun as allowed by law to visit my Legislators - I am not a gun-control pearl-wringer. But we've gone through so many iterations of this with the "Constitutional Carry Morons", the circular firing squad, who set back 2nd Amendment causes every time they speak or write, I can't even count any longer. Now they have a new cause. I'm thrilled.}

What kind of creep issues statements like this?
Here in Houston / Harris County, 4th largest metro area the country, we have 71 total deaths, and 6 new cases yesterday. This should be a point of pride, not a sign of "getting carried away".
But now the local Trump-fluffers are going after Dem Houston Mayor and Harris County Judge... why? For being outrageously successful?
Our death rate here is 15 deaths per million. In NYC, 1548 deaths per million. I'm ecstatic! It's 100x better here. STFU Cheeto.

President Trump signaled his support of escalating protests against coronavirus restrictions — accusing certain states of being “unreasonable” with lockdowns that are too strict.
“I really believe that they’re being unreasonable,” Trump said at a White House briefing Saturday, a day after tweeting for Minnesota, Michigan and Virginia to be “liberated.”
“There are a lot of protests out there. And I just think that some of the governors have gotten carried away,” he said.

I posted this to enjoy watching the usual TDS crowd tie themselves in knots trying to maintain two contradictory positions at the same time.
