Anyone Else Prepping?
I've stocked our cupboards with canned fruit, vegetables, seafood (oysters, clams, salmon, sardines) and canned soup, etc. I'm not worried about stores running out of food - I'm thinking if coronavirus is rampant, it's probably a good idea not to go to the grocery store anymore. I also went to a vet supply and bought some antibiotics. If you need antibiotics for strep or some other infection, going to a hospital or doctor's office filled with corona isn't a wise move. Also stocked up on Vitamin C, D3, and zinc.
Anyone one else doing similiar?

A little, for the same reason. Some canned food and dried lentils, rice, pasta and some frozen foods.
It’s cheap and it might be nice to have it if we don’t feel like leaving home for awhile.
No vitamins, but wife bought paper products, rubbing alcohol.
I got extra food for the cat, who doesn’t give a sh*t about any of this and is having a great time.

Re: Anyone Else Prepping?
I normally only purchase food fresh for the week ahead. Last week I did uncharacteristically grab a couple weeks worth of food for my freezer and pantry. Might grab another week or two's worth this week as well just in case of a lock down or if I get sick so I don't have to go out and infect others.
Re: Anyone Else Prepping?
I'm thinking about buying some extra dried/canned/frozen foods next time I'm at the grocery store, but I don't think I'll go too crazy with it.
It's funny that I'm more worried about people panicking and hoarding than I am about catching the virus itself.

Ahh, canned chili, a hard asset that won't diminish in value until I eat it.

Re: Anyone Else Prepping?
My fam jam is doing the exact opposite. Not only are they not prepping, my dad just left the country to go to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong.
The place with the riots going on.
While all the Coronavirus ruckus is going on.
And he was recently diagnosed with a hernia.
Hong Kong.
It's like... the exact opposite of prepping.

Re: Anyone Else Prepping?
I have a ton of food in my house. Mostly rice, legumes, oats, and whey. I also have like 10 lbs of meat in the freezer, which isn't much, but I could stretch it out. And vitamins, which I normally take. I have some vegetables from my garden left (spaghetti squash, pumpkin, peppers, garlic), and some in cans.
Also a couple thousand rounds of ammo.
No big deal.

I still have that Swiss army knife I posted about way back when in my pocket every day.
I will MacGyver whatever supplies, munitions, and food I need with it.
I will even build my own girlfriend... somehow.

Re: Anyone Else Prepping?
Is that allowed in Canada? Or will they haul you off to jail if the cops see it sitting on the console of your car? (Too soon..?)

As long as it's not an assisted open knife.

HAhahahaha. Honestly, with all this Coronavirus panic going on, many theatre events, film shoots, and TV projects are being cancelled around Vancouver. And my biggest concern with not driving was getting to those gigs. So now it's becoming something of a non-issue.
I like to think the big man upstairs got my license suspended so I wouldn't get sick.

I have an assisted opening blade I bought many years ago that is now no longer legal to sell in Canada. I baby that thing because getting a new one if it breaks is going to be damn near impossible.

Reminds me of my neighbor's philosophy. His motto is, "With one of these [a bullet] I can get any one of those I want."

My lovely bride just got back home from an East Texas target store.
The shelves of Antibacterial Soap and T.P. are bare, along with Alcohol and Hydrogen Peroxide.
Good Luck with the Supply Chain where you live.

I just got a mass text saying a local grocery store is out of toilet paper. WTF is it with toilet paper and coronavirus?

That reminds me of those silly Dude Wipes that Mark Cuban invested in on Shark Tank.

When the pandemic finally tapers off, and thousands or millions of people have way too much TP sitting around in their houses, I predict we're going to see a lot of front yards get "decorated" by teenagers.
