Great pictures! Love the color and detail in them and that they are close ups!

even though a telephoto was used they still need to be cropped a lot to get close ups .....
unlike a painter who has to decide what to paint in to the picture , photographers have to concentrate on what to exclude from the shot .
so i do a lot of cropping out of stuff

Are you saying that these were not the pictures you took through your viewfinder but that you last did post-processing to them?

Fantastic shots, mathjak.
I especially love the first one -- monitor lizard? -- but they are all amazing!
Thanks for sharing them.

I seem to remember one biting the toe of Sharon Stone's date at the zoo

You mentioned a Cuba trip in the main stock thread.
Have any photos of Cuba?

When do you go there? I assume that this was post Obama drastically changing the restrictions? Finally, do you speak any Spanish?

As usual, another GREAT set of pictures!
You should start a topic just devoted to your pictures so as to keep us steadily entertained by your photography!

Well, I love those random people shots. Fantastic. And of course, the cars. I’ve always enjoyed those in National Geographic. It’s a terrible thing to say, but those cars are going to disappear when all sanctions & embargoes are lifted and they get their economy going.
That last shot almost looks like a movie set. Was it enhanced?

all my shots are done flat and boring in camera ... i then season to taste later .
by shooting as flat as i can in camera it lets me capture the highest signal to noise ratio . that lets me process later with little noise
