BYND

I’m a Beyond Meat fan. Is that tantamount to being a satanist in TX? For what it’s worth, though, they don’t digest as well as real cow burgers. They just taste good.

What do you mean they don't digest as well?

Being easy to digest and full of protein are pretty much the main reasons I eat meat. But I also digest pulses like lentils and peas like a boss. I'm an omnidigester.

I was going to caution against guys eating soy, but I see it is pea based and soy-free. I'll have to check it out!

It's pretty tasty. Might catch you by surprise.

At least until Maduro came along....
Edit: oops, that’s Venezuela. Not far off.

I had some vegan hot dogs once, they were delicious. They didn't taste like meat, or whatever is in hot dogs, but they had a really good spicy flavor.

Yeah, that spicy grain sausage is great.
Beyond Burgers taste and feel just like meat to me.

Carls Jr finally added the "beyond burger." Its outrageous that BK, McD, and jack in the box offer 10 burgers but none meatless. I'm wondering if theres something addictive in meat. But it seems more like its just the general human quality of resisting change, especially with food. I suppose we get wired up as children to associate the foods we eat with satisfaction, so experimenting with new foods is not appealing.
