Trump and investment taxes

Post by LazyInvestor »

Is anyone aware if there will be any changes to taxes with Trump? In particular any changes to capital gains, dividends, and estate tax? If yes, shall these changes also affect NRAs and how long does it usually take to pass and implement such changes in US?

I like his proposed $30000 standard deduction for couples filing jointly. I would love to see that when I file in 2018 for the 2017 tax year.
