Hillary Is Innocent

Post by Reub »

FBI Director Comey says that although Hillary placed top secret govt information on easily hackable private servers that she's innocent. Case closed. Does that sound right to you?
Simonjester wrote: so is that an official "case closed " or just this guys opinion as a Hillary crony?

Reub wrote:Does that sound right to you?
yes... i expect that a system corrupted enough to have a Hillary in it, would by definition be corrupted enough to let her get away with anything...
Simonjester wrote:
“The reason she will not be indicted is because her first witness as a defendant in a criminal case is the president of the United States,” Pirro explained. “Because Hillary Clinton emailed President Barack Obama. He knew that she had a private email server – that Clinton email dot com. So he is complicit and they will not allow a constitutional crisis where the president of the United States knew about the risking of security of the United States.”

Those that make the rules are above the law. Laws are intended for the masses. This is no different than when she miraculously turned $1,000 into $100k trading hog futures. She can write her own rules...

From the FBI director...
Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.
Translation: We know she's guilty as sin but trying to convict her will be a pointless exercise. So tell us something we didn't already know.

We will certainly be hearing all about her "innocence" for the rest of the day, of course.

Maybe I'm missing something. . . but if the ultimate goal was to prevent a conviction, wouldn't it have been better to go ahead and prosecute on this administration's watch, and exonerate her on the merits? Once this administration is out, what precludes a more hostile one from bringing her up on charges?

I'm sure they're hoping that the next administration will be less hostile since it will be her's.

Has the next administration already started? Hillary is using Air Force One like she's already the next President. Is this a proper use of taxpayer's money? These guys are so brazen that I think it will catch up to them on election day.

That would be fine... except that she is guilty as sin. Comey had to invent a new term, "extremely careless", to avoid using the old familiar term, "gross negligence", which is specified in the statute as sufficient for conviction.

Of course, anyone who thinks that a different FBI director would have acted differently is extremely naive, to say the least. This is one of the finest examples I can recall of why the Founders should have made impeachment and conviction of executive branch officials much easier: that is the only way to stop a rogue administration from doing whatever they want.

And no, I'm not talking about impeaching Comey. He's just the fall guy.

Apparently, according to the FBI, Hillary was only guilty of "extreme carelessness" which doesn't rise to the level of "gross negligence" that violates the law.

The whole thing gives me bad flashbacks to "it depends on what the meaning of "is" is". Why can't these people just go away?

The one good thing to come out of this is the meme that points out just how ridiculously corrupt it is.

Stephen Green @VodkaPundit
BREAKING: FBI finds John Wilkes Booth "extremely careless" in discharge of firearm.

Carl Gustav ‏@CaptYonah 22h22 hours ago Georgia, USA
Ted Kennedy was #extremelycareless behind the wheel of a car.

Andrew Klavan ‏@andrewklavan 22h22 hours ago
Michael Corleone was #extremelycareless with that gun behind the toilet.

Wow, in one fell swoop the FBI destroyed its reputation, made clear that the rule of law is applied only selectively, and opened the way for us to have this awesome new "extremely careless" President. I can't imagine she'll be able to win now, conviction or no conviction.

Some other great #extremelycareless tweets:

Look for #DonaldTrump to now answer every attack with "I was just #ExtremelyCareless and, you know, that's not a crime"

I wish I were a Clinton. Then I would have gotten a warning for my #ExtremelyCareless 78 in a 55 instead of a ticket. #TheFixIsIn

Dear FBI, any further lawbreaking on my part will be due to being #ExtremelyCareless. Thanks for not arresting me in advance.

@ReformedBroker In other news, #BernieMadoff petitions to reopen case. Believes the new #ExtremelyCareless standard applies.

Really?

She has once again taken on the vast right wing conspiracy that is out to bring down the Clintons and won. She is woman, hear her roar, in numbers too big to ignore.

And as my 96 year old mother tells me, she's the one who really cares about people.

The caring about people crap needs to be debunked. How could anyone who has a working brain think that Hillary cares about anyone but herself?

FBI Director Comey is definitely a hero here. He's listed all of her major shortcomings and glaring errors in judgment and the Dems are supporting his opinions because he didn't recommend prosecution. So how can they pretend that she's pure as the driven snow? They will have a hard time with that while Trump will have plenty of ammunition to use against her. Quite the conundrum for the Hillary supporter. At the same time Director Comey promulgates the correct notion that Trump has been pounding on that the system is a rigged one. Plus Hillary wasn't allowed to become the "victim" which is a role that she relishes. No vast, right wing conspiracy to see here. Bravo, Director Comey!

And yet it didn't make a dime's worth of a difference:

I think we all assume voters are way too rational around here and not that they're demogagoery idiot fucks.

Common sense? Not to quote Donald Rumsfeld again, but...
