He is a preacher who subscribes to a very bizarre theological school of thought (some of us would call it heresy) called Dominionism (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominion_Theology).

I had never before heard the term "dominionism," but I see this philosophy expressed almost universally these days within evangelical circles.  I live in a small rural community where evangelical Christianisty is the only game in town, so it's not all that hard to discern what people are thinking.  Lately, there's been a lot of discussion about "girding loins" and going to battle.  Scary stuff.

He fought on Castro's side in the Cuban revolution, right?

I think he said that he didn't realize Castro was a bad guy.  I wonder if he ever uses the same excuse when it comes to his son.

Eventually the US will break apart.  Probably for the better.
